GSM Barcoding supplies a full range of Zebra label stock including thermal transfer and direct thermal printable options in a range of sizes and configurations to suit your specific printer.
Thermal transfer printed labels require a printer with a heated print head to heat transfer the image via a ribbon onto the label stock. The ribbon must be compatible with the label stock material to ensure a durable image that will last for years making this an ideal option for permanent marking, resistant to moisture, chemicals and varying temperatures. The Thermal transfer printable label stock is available in a range of materials including paper, polyester, polypropylene and vinyl, all with adhesive options to suit your application.
Direct thermal labels require no ribbon or ink, they are produced from a heat sensitive paper or synthetic material, printed on a direct thermal printer where a heated print head contacts the label turning it black to produce the image. Direct thermal labels have a shorter life than thermal transfer printed labels and are generally used for packing labels and till receipts etc.
Also available in the Zebra label stock are RFID tags. These are labels and tags containing a radio frequency identification (RFID) circuit which is used to scan wirelessly, unlike a barcode which requires sight of the label to scan. RFID labels enable a whole area to be scanned at once using a RFID scanner and in real time so provides a quick and convenient inventory control solution.
Zebra label stock is available in a range of materials and sizes to suit many printer formats, please contact GSM Barcoding Sales Team for further details of the full range.
