Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose on-demand or pre-printed labels?

Both pre-printed and in-house printed labels have their advantages and disadvantages, and the best choice often depends on your specific processes and needs. Firstly, you don’t have to choose only one; a hybrid approach is also an option.

Pre-printed labels are usually produced off-site by a label printing bureau, such as GSM Barcoding. This allows you to collaborate with label designers to choose the exact size, shape, material, adhesive, and coating that fit your requirements. These labels are printed using high-quality printers, ensuring excellent print quality. However, they tend to be more expensive than in-house printing. The benefits include guaranteed quality and timely delivery.

On the other hand, printing labels in-house is typically quicker and allows for greater flexibility, especially when you need to include variable data that can change frequently. The choice between these options largely depends on the complexity and quality requirements of the labels, as well as the amount of variable data you need to incorporate.

As mentioned earlier, there is also the option to partially print your labels and then add the variable data using an in-house printer.
