The Theory of our ProSurvey Software

ProSurvey works by taking readings at regular x-y grid intervals across a site. The ProSurvey computer is located with the test access point, and then the surveyor walks around the site with a handheld device, PDA, barcode scanner, phone, PC etc. As the surveyor walks around the site, the ProSurvey computer records information at each of the grid intervals when the button is pressed on the mobile device, this includes the x /y location which is navigated by the up, down, left right buttons on the mobile device.

Why does this make us different?

This approach makes us unique because we can survey with any client device that can run Telnet. This means if you want to install barcode scanners or PDAs you use one to survey not a laptop as the results are VERY different, this is why so many installations fail.

We use the actual device being installed to survey where we can no matter if its on 802.11a/b/g or the ratified 11n wireless standard. This means we get the most accurate results we can unlike all the 'predictive' and laptop based WiFi Survey tools out there!
